City Harvest helps feed over 260,000 people each week. Meet just a few of the people that City Harvest helps feed.
We rescue about 71,000 pounds of food each day. We regularly give food to nearly 600 community programs. It costs City Harvest 28 cents to rescue a pound of food.
In our first month, City Harvest served 55 community food programs in New York City. Today we help feed people at nearly 600 programs. Our goal is to grow our operations to address the demand for emergency food.
