Le Bernardin to Donate $1 Per Patron to City Harvest
Longtime City Harvest supporter and board member Eric Ripert is taking the fight against hunger a step further. Throughout 2009, Le Bernardin will donate $1 to City Harvest for every guest who dines at the restaurant or at The Salons, the restaurant’s private event space. City Harvest will also receive $1 for each copy of On the Line, Chef Ripert’s new cookbook, sold at Le Bernardin. Chef Ripert hopes to raise $100,000 for City Harvest by the end of the year, with the simple goal of helping to alleviate hunger at a difficult time. You can help – just by dining out at one of the city's most esteemed restaurants. Read the Crain's New York, Bloomberg, and MSNBC stories about the donation.
When you lunch at Le Bernardin, why not treat yourself to a special meal created by Chef Ripert to benefit City Harvest? Le Bernardin will donate $5 from each "City Harvest Lunch" to the fight against hunger. The standard Prix-Fixe Lunch menu at Le Bernardin is available at $40, changing seasonally.
